Schwarzhorn

View from Faulhorn onto Scharzhorn and Wildgärst.

The Schwarzhorn is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located between Brienz and Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. With a height of 2,928 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit of the group north of the Grosse Scheidegg Pass. The Schwarzhorn is also the highest point in the municipality of Brienz.

A small glacier named Blau Gletscherli lies on the north side of the mountain.

The Schwarzhorn is regarded as one of the most stunning look-out peaks in the Bernese Oberland. Its summit can be accessed by a trail on the southern ridge.

Lake Bachalp

Deep blue, smooth as glass and divided in two by a natural dike, pretty Lake Bachalp is set in a moorland habitat of national importance, framed by the snow-covered peaks of the Jungfrau massif.

This wonderfully picturesque spot is easily accessible from Grindelwald-First – and rewards visitors with superb views of the Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn and Finsteraarhorn.

Last pic from our Hike & Fly Tour in the Suls Valley. The mountain is called “Ars”, don’t ask me why and what it means. It’s hard to find informations about it on the net…

You’ll find some more pics on my Facebook profile and a short movie here.
